Robert L. Gatlin

Robert L. Gatlin, age 65, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Wednesday, April 25, 2007 in a local hospital. He was a member of Lebanon Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Mr. Gatlin was formerly active in UAW Local 1676 at Honeywell. He was employed with Bendix Corporation for 25 years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Venda Gatlin and his father, Charlie Gatlin.

He is survived by his mother, Ola Mae Broomfield Brown of Cleveland; two brothers Jim Gatlin and Wayne Gatlin both of Cleveland; four nieces: Karen Gatlin of Chattanooga, Melissa Sharp of Cleveland, Jimi Ann Gatlin and Kellye Gatlin both of Louisville, KY; three nephews: Steve Gatlin and David Gatlin both of Cleveland and Mark Gatlin of Louisville, KY.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home with Reverend Danny Wilson and Reverend Richard McKeehan officiating. Interment will follow in Lebanon Baptist Church Cemetery with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service.

His family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
