Robert Gamble

Robert L. Gamble, 82, of Cleveland passed away Thursday, November 6, 2008 in a local healthcare facility. He was a member of Union Grove Church of Christ and was retired from Maytag after 26 years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert T. and Ada Swafford Gamble and one brother, Curtis Gamble. Survivors include his wife, Pearl Singleton Gamble of Cleveland; three children: Luther Gamble, Larry Gamble and his wife, Marian of Cleveland, Dennis Gamble and his wife, Kathy of Cleveland; seven grandchildren: James Gamble, Traci Cochran, Timothy Gamble, Amy Gamble, Robert Gamble, Adam Gamble all of Cleveland and Dwayne Gamble of Chicago, IL., one brother, Taylor "Mac" Gamble of Cleveland and one sister, Edna Gates of Cleveland: 11 great-grandchildren, 9 great-great grandchildren and several neices and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, Noverember 8, 2008 in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home with Darren Fansler officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with grandsons serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.
