Frances Irene Evans, 71, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Wednesday, October 3, 2007 in a local healthcare facility. Mrs. Evans was a member of the Lebanon Independent Baptist Church. She was employed with Bradley Memorial Hospital and Cleveland Speedway for many years.
She was the daughter of the late George Dewey Bates and Ethel Marie Armstrong Bates, she was also preceded in death by her husband, James B. Evans and her daughter, Cynthia Bates.
She is survived by grandchildren; Cher Lane of Cleveland and Michael Parisien of Cleveland, brother, Gary Crye of Cleveland, sister, Mary Floyd of Chattanooga, great grandchildren; Seth Parisien, Jarae Oliver and Jaiya Lane, special friends; Ida Mae (Maw) Hitson, Patsy Floyd and Leonard Goins all of Cleveland.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Sunday in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home with the Reverend Clyde Beck officiating. Interment will follow in the Laurel Hill-Lebanon Cemetery, with Eddie Nation, Allen Nation, Rocky Hitson, John Shipp, Jimmy Gray and Michael Parisien serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.
Her family will receive friends from 5 to 8 P.M. on Saturday at the funeral home.
