Blanche Irene Eldridge

Blanche Irene McCallie Eldridge, 98, went home to be with her Lord on Monday June 11, 2007. She was a lifelong resident of the Birchwood, Harrison community. She was a graduate of Birchwood High School in the class of 1929. She was a faithful member of New Liberty Baptist Church, in Birchwood, where she served as church clerk and song director.
She was born January 30, 1909, to parents, the late Thomas Jefferson and Virgie Bell Dungan McCallie. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Denny Eldridge, grandson, Jerry Reece Wolfe, brothers; William, Luther, Fred, Charles McCallie, sisters; Bertha Bower, Laura Belle McCallie, and Marie Johnson.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Winfred Wolfe, grandsons; Jeffery Wolfe of Houston, Texas and Jason and his wife Ronda, granddaughters; Halle Wolfe and Hannah Peters, brother; Robert McCallie several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at Fike Funeral Home Thursday June 14, 2007
at 2:00 P.M. with the Reverend Ernest Sutton and the Reverend Johnny Jones officiating. Interment will follow in the Ball Hill Cemetery in Harrison, TN with nephews serving as pallbearers and New Liberty Baptist Church deacons serving as honorary pallbearers. A White Dove Release Ceremony will conclude the services.
The family will receive friends Wednesday June 13, 2007 from 6:00 to 9:00
P.M. at the funeral home.
