Betty Jo Dillon, 81, a resident of Cleveland, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 4, 2009 with her family by her side.
She attended Temple Baptist Church. Mrs. Dillon was formerly employed by Duracell for several years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Nely Moreland Millsaps; one brother, Mart Millsaps and three sisters: Lennie Carden, Pruddie Martin and Odessa Kent.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, James Edward Dillon of Cleveland; two children: Mike Dillon and wife, Pama of Chatsworth, GA and Mitzi Jo Williams of Cleveland; three grandchildren: James Dillon and wife, Tina of Cleveland, Andrew Dillon and Colby Dillon of Chatsworth, GA; four great grandchildren: Jasmine Dillon, Faith Dillon, Devin Dillon and Christian Dillon and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 P.M. Thursday in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home with the Reverend Paul Fox officiating. Interment will follow in Fort Hill Cemetery. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.
Her family will receive friends from 1 - 3 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home prior to the service.
