Geneva Goodman Byerley, 96, a resident of Cleveland went home to be with the Lord on May 5th, 2008. She was born in Knoxville, TN. on July 11, 1911. She was a faithful member of North Cleveland Baptist Church.
She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed being with her family. Geneva enriched the lives of all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Charles "Mac" Byerley and five sisters and four brothers.
She is survived by her daughter, Maxine Byerley Moore and husband John of Cleveland; her son, Charles L. Byerley and wife, Michelle of Arizona; grandsons, John Mark Moore and spouse, Laura and Matthew Moore all of Cleveland and granddaughter, Mary Margaret Moore also of Cleveland.
Funeral services will be conducted at 8 p.m. on Tuesday May 6, 2008 at Fike Funeral Home with Dr. Jay McCluskey officiating. Interment will be Wednesday, May 7th, 2008 at 11 a.m. in Woodlawn Cemetery in Knoxville, TN. with John Mark Moore, Matthew Moore, Mary Margaret Moore, Jim Goins, Bill Houston and Dr. Michael Rumble serving as honorary pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday prior to the service.
