P.L. (Plez) Burris

P.L. (Plez) Burris, age 86, passed away Friday, October 27, 2006 at a local hospital. He was a charter member of Cloverleaf Baptist Church and former Sunday school teacher. Mr. Burris was a well known cattle farmer in this area. He was preceded in death by his parents, Levi Morton Burris and Myrtle Melton Burris.
He is survived by his wife, Bessie Hancock Burris of Cleveland; son, Larry Burris of Cleveland; sister, Stella Evans of Wadsworth, OH; grandchildren: Charles Burris and wife, Andrea of Cleveland, Brian Burris of Chattanooga and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Monday at Cloverleaf Baptist Church with Pastor Huel Hooker and Pastor Tony Hancock officiating. Interment will follow in Lebanon Baptist Church Cemetery with Tracy Hancock, David Hancock, David Ellis, Phillip Whitted, Joe Daniels and Roy Forgey serving as pallbearers.
