William Frederick Bryant

June 3, 1918 — March 8, 2007

Fred Bryant, age 88, a resident of Bradley County, passed away Thursday, March 8, 2007 at a local healthcare facility. He was a member of White Oak Baptist Church. Mr. Bryant was a self employed painter for 38 years. He was an avid coon hunter and a trotline cat fisherman and loved to play baseball with his grandsons and loved gardening. He was the last surviving child of the late Luke Bryant and Mae Gregg Bryant.

He is survived by his wife, Sallie Melton Bryant of Cleveland; sons: Harold Bryant, Sr. and wife Jewell, Larry W. Bryant and wife, Teresa all of Cleveland; four grandchildren: Harold Bryant, Jr., Michelle Clark, Brad Bryant and Will Bryant; four great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, March 10, 2007 in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Strickland and Pastor David Evans officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with Brad Bryant, Will Bryant, Harold Bryant, Jr., Everett Harris, Doug Clark and Andrew Bryant servings as pallbearers.

His family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 09, 2007 at the funeral home.
