Sallie Mae Bryant

Sallie Mae Bryant, 88, a lifelong resident of Bradley County, passed away Monday, April 14, 2008 in a local healthcare facility. She attended Cleveland Christian Fellowship. Mrs. Bryant was a wonderful care giver; loved going to church and prepared three meals each day for her family while raising her children.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Fred Bryant in March 2007; parents, Luther Melton and Canzada Melton; and several brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her sons: Harold Bryant, Sr. and wife, Jewell and Larry W. Bryant and wife, Teresa, all of Cleveland; 4 grandchildren: Harold Bryant, Jr., Michelle Clark, Brad Bryant and Will Bryant; 4 great grandchildren; 1 sister, Lillian Tatum of Cleveland and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, April 17, 2008 in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Strickland and Pastor David Evans officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with Brad Bryant, Will Bryant, Harold Bryant, Jr., Everett Harris, Doug Clark and Andrew Bryant serving as pallbearers.

Her family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
