Carolyn S. Appling, age 75, a resident of Cleveland, passed away on Thursday evening May 17, 2007 in a local hospital. She was a member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church. She was past president of the Bradley County Medical Auxiliary and a member of the Cleveland/Athens Cotillion.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Erving Conrad and Ada May Schorr and daughter Mary Elizabeth Appling.
She is survived by her husband, Dr. John Appling, daughter, Suzanne and husband Fred Wood, son, Jay Appling, grandchildren, Tanner and Cody Appling all of Cleveland.
A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday May 22, 2007 at the St. Luke's Episcopal Church with The Reverend Joel Huffstetler and The Reverend James F. Marquis officiating. Interment will be in St. Luke's Episcopal Church Memorial Garden.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 22, 2007 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at St. Luke's Episcopal Church.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Luke's Organ Fund, c/o 320 Broad Street, Cleveland, TN., 37311.
