Barbara Womac Davis, 82, of Cleveland, passed on to Heaven on Friday, November 8, 2019. She was born January 17, 1937 and lived in Athens most of her life until she moved to Cleveland. She was the daughter of the late Roy Womac and Elsie Womac Cate. She retired from K-Mart and was of the Baptist faith. She loved to shop and spend time with her family. Barbara will be remembered for her beautiful smile and the love she had for her children and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband and the father of her children, Wayne Davis; sister, Shirley Latham Wade; and brothers-in-law, Clarence Latham, David Wade and Sam Breedwell.
Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Jan and Jimmy Key of Ten Mile and Tina and Justin Winters of Cleveland; and son and daughter-in-law, who was like a daughter to her, Monty and Teresa Davis of Cleveland. She was the cherished grandmother to grandchildren, Josh Key, Kara Swafford and Heath Davis and step granddaughters, Hannah Winters and Amanda Scott Carter; special great grandson, Liam Grey Swafford who kept her entertained the last year, and step great-grandson, Jaxon Carter; she loved them all dearly. She is also survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Bunnye and Mickey Waters; brothers and sisters-in-law, Calvin and Connie Womac and Steve and Laura Womac; sisters-in-law, Barbara Powell and Shirley Melton; brother-in-law, Glenn and Faye Davis; stepdad, Kenneth Cate, whom she was very close to; several nieces and nephews who were all very special to her; and her special doggie, Bella who never left her side when she was sick.
The funeral will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 12, 2019 in the chapel of Fike-Randolph & Son Funeral Home with grandson, Reverend Josh Key and the Reverend Larry Coleman officiating. A graveside service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 13, 2019 at Walnut Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Darrell Davis, Monty Davis, Heath Davis, Justin Winters, Jamey Womac and Randy Breedwell serving as pallbearers. Don Breedwell will serve as honorary pallbearer.
Her family will receive friends from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home prior to the service.
