Blanche C. Cofer, 97, of Georgetown, passed away Sunday, October 11, 2020 at an Etowah healthcare facility. She was retired from Bishop Bakery. Blanche was a member of Burdette Baptist Church since 1955. She loved growing flowers (her husband loved mowing them down), basketball, softball, cooking and traveling. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Mark Collins and Vernie Cannon Collins; husband, Holland Dave Cofer; brothers, Carl, James, Howard, Sam and Harry Collins; and sisters, Grace Collins and Louise Shahan. Survivors include her children, Linda (Don) Brown of Cleveland, June (Roy) Aikman of Georgetown and Patsy (Steve) Lewis of Benton; seven grandchildren, Tracy (Scott) Kanavos of Cleveland, Donny Brown of Rome, GA, David (Melanie) Lewis and Denis Lewis, all of Benton, Shannon (Blair) Rossing of Georgetown, Brent (Crystal) Aikman of Cleveland and Brandon (Tasya) Aikman of Harrison; 15 grandchildren; sister-in-law, Marjorie “Bootsie” Collins; and several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 15, 2020 in the chapel of Fike-Randolph & Son Funeral Home with Pastor David Evans officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Her family will receive friends from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home prior to the service.
