Bonnie Corbin

Bonnie Lou Reed Corbin, 89, of Georgetown, passed away Friday, December 13, 2024, at a hospital in Hermitage, Tn. She taught Sunday School for many years at Eastside Church of Christ and Sycamore Church of Christ in Cookeville, Tn. She enjoyed volunteering at several long-term care facilities and she loved to travel with her late husband. She also sang for many years with the Wonderful Word Chorus, Chattanooga, Tn. In her later years she enjoyed coloring, working puzzles and painting. She always loved decorating for every holiday. After her husband’s passing, the love of her life became her constant companion Prissy, a miniature pinscher.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Verlyn Beron Corbin; parents, Albert J. Reed and Elizabeth L Crosby Reed and 5 other siblings.

Survivors include her children, Paul (Dawn) Brown of Riceville and June (Jack) McGhee of Nashville; step son, Verlyn Corbin of GA, grandchildren, Heather (Mike) Corcoran of Nashville, Brandon (Kari) Fox of Searcy, AR, Matt (Molly) Fox of Nashville, Paul K Brown of San Diego, CA, Tony (Inga) Acebedo of Riceville, Marie Roberti of San Diego, CA, Asia Acebedo of San Diego, CA, Joe Acebedo of San Diego, CA, Jeremy Corbin of Ohio, Joey Corbin of Cleveland, Charity Corbin Jones of Cleveland and Rebecca Corbin Caldwell of Sevierville; great grandchildren, Vera Acebedo, Zyhrina Acebedo, Max Corcoran, Charlie Corcoran, Liam Brown, Abigail Brown and Fara Fox; brothers, Roger (Brenda) Reed of St. Petersburg, FL, and David (Debbie) Reed of Moline, IL; sister, Linda Wood of Phoenix, AZ

The funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 21, 2024, in the chapel of Poole Funeral Home at Fike Chapel with Ministers Bill Maynard and Mike Fox officiating. Interment will follow at Fort Hill Cemetery. 

Her family will receive friends from 5:00 – 9:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home and Saturday one hour prior to the service.
