Cassie Shantae Stafford Rodriguez, 35, lifelong resident of Cleveland, left this world on Monday, February 28, 2022 and took her heavenly flight home to be with her heavenly Father. She is now rejoicing in her heavenly home. Cassie had a smile that was contagious and could light up any room with just her presence. She was loved by everyone and had such a pure heart. Cassie loved her girls, Savannah and Casslyn beyond measure. They were the center of her world and she took great pride in being their momma.
From an early age Cass always strived to be the best at everything she did. She won numerous beauty pageants when she was little and later went on to being phenomenal in every sport she ever played. She loved softball, fast pitch, volleyball and basketball and excelled in each one.
Cassie was a loving mother, daughter, granddaughter, sister, niece, cousin and friend. Cassie loved the Lord and was of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Steven Rodriguez; and grandfather, Don W. Stafford.
Survivors include her children, Savannah and Casslynn Rodriguez; mother, Lynn Stafford Bradford and husband, Jimmy; grandmother, Johnnie Green Stafford; siblings, Johnathon Poteet and Autumn Poteet; uncle, Donnie (Angie) Stafford; aunt, Chandra (Michael Gatlin) Stafford; great aunt, Billie McCracken; father, Craig Williamson; half siblings, Taylor Tanafranca, Brittani Williamson, Caleb Williamson and Chad Williamson; fiancé, Zach Frey; nieces and nephews, Carson, Andrew, Hudson and Skyla; and cousins, Brae, Chandon, Trey and Chandler.
The funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 5, 2022 in the chapel of Fike-Randolph & Son Funeral Home with the Reverend Aris Cavender and the Reverend Sammy McNelly officiating. Interment will follow in Chestuee Methodist Church Cemetery with Brae Stafford, Chandler Stafford, Johnathon Poteet, Chandon Gatlin, Michael Gatlin, Zack Frey and Ricky Lewallen serving as pallbearers. Andrew, Carson and Hudson Poteet will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Her family will receive friends from 4:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
