Charles M. Frady, 92 of Cleveland, died on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at his residence.
He was a member of Eastside Church of Christ. Charles was a United States Army veteran, having served in Korea from 1953 to 1955. He retired from Duracell with over 20 years of service and was a member and past master of Ooltewah Lodge No. 741 F&AM and also a member of the Alhambra Shrine.
Charles loved going to watch the Tennessee Vols play football at Neyland Stadium. When he wasn’t working or watching football, he enjoyed spending his time camping with his family. He also loved to travel and had visited 49 states and Canada.
He was the son of the late Henry and Stella Mason Frady; and was also preceded in death by his first wife, Easter Randolph Frady; his siblings; and stepdaughter, Jill Langdon.
Survivors include his wife, Polly Prueitt Frady of Cleveland; children, Randolph (Pam) Frady of Soddy Daisy, Susan (Rob) Robinson of Chattanooga, and Sallie (Eddie) Beaty of Cleveland; stepchildren, Jason (Edith) Branam and Michelle Goodner of Cleveland; three grandchildren, Katherine (Chris) Kokaly of Cleveland, Zarina Tipton of Soddy Daisy, and Aaron Frady of Soddy Daisy; five great grandchildren, Maverick and Oliver Kokaly, Landon Leal, Lillie and Hayden Tipton; and several nieces and nephews. Charles also counted himself as abundantly blessed that through his union to Polly in his later years, he added to those he loved by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He cherished his whole family with all of his heart.
Services will be at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, in the chapel of Poole Funeral Home, Fike Chapel with Minister Jeff Archey and Minister Bill Maynard officiating.
Interment will follow in Hilcrest Memorial Gardens with Chris Kokaly, Rob Robinson, Aaron Frady, Jason Branam, D.J. Branam and Chris Myers serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from noon until 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
