David Lee Brewer, 70, a life-long resident of Cleveland, passed away Wednesday, January 22, 2020 in a local facility. He was a member of North Cleveland Baptist Church and was retired from Duracell after 31 years of service. David was a proud veteran of the United States Army.
He enjoyed hunting and loved spending time with his grandchildren and teaching them to fish. He was an avid motorcycle enthusiast and a man’s man.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Turner Newton Brewer and Ruth Lee Mae Moore Brewer; siblings, Margaret Brewer, Gilbert Brewer, Mamie Clark, Linda Randolph, Roy Brewer, Jim Brewer and Betty Bain.
He is survived by his wife of 12 years, Linda Fridley Brewer, of Cleveland; two children, Mandy Rodriguez and husband, Brian and A.J. Stone and wife, Allison , all of Cleveland; four grandchildren, Averie Rodriguez, Asher Rodriguez, Ari Rodriguez and Azalia Stone; three sisters, Reba Boling, Ann Rayburn and Carolyn Ferguson; special nephews, Eddie and Bruce with several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 27, 2020 in the chapel of Fike-Randolph and Son Funeral Home with Pastor David Disney and Pastor Jennie Cissom officiating. Interment will follow in Benton Station Cemetery with Military Honors. Adam Ferguson, Mark Boling, Sam Rayburn, Bruce Randolph, Mike Clark and Paul Collins will be serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearer will be, Eddie Bain.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 26, 2020 at the funeral home and again one hour prior to the service on Monday.
