Doris Janelle Chumney

Doris Janelle Chumney passed away at age 84. She was born April 6th 1938 in Tellico Plains, TN. She married Gary M. Chumney, her High School Sweetheart, and moved to California where he served in the US Navy. They then moved back to Tellico and then to Cleveland, TN. Doris was the secretary of Cleveland High School from 1968 until her retirement and then joined her husband in Georgia where they ran a trucking business. She was preceded in death by her husband Gary M. Chumney, son John Scott Chumney, parents Johnnie and Kurt Morris, sisters, Margaret Morris and Blanch Teague. Doris is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Kimesa and Gregory Stafford; grandchildren, Noah and Josh Stafford and Rachel Stafford Kinney; niece, Joni Teague Johnson; nephew, Ricky Teague. A funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Sunday, December 4, 2022 in the chapel of Fike Randolph & Son Funeral Home of Cleveland, TN.
