Elizabeth "Libby" Ann Crisp

October 23, 1955 — October 6, 2021

Elizabeth “Libby” Ann Crisp, 65, passed away Wednesday, October 6, 2021 surrounded by her beloved husband and three children.

Libby and Mitchell would have celebrated 50 years of marriage on October 9th. They met at the Star-Vue Movie Theater in Cleveland, TN and it was love at first sight. Mitchell was dedicated to ensuring she received the best care and doted on her with all of the love a husband should hold for a wife.

How does one capture the impact of a life well-lived and well-loved in a few paragraphs? For our family, our matriarch, our universe – the foundation that held our family firmly in place, there are no words that can adequately capture the impact she has and will have on our lives.

A devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who loved fiercely and wrapped us in love each step of the way, she was the type of mother every child should be blessed with having; she was the best of us. Each day spent with her was a gift.

Libby was resilient, compassionate, and protective of those she loved. She was always proud of her three children and talked about them every chance she could. She loved all of God’s creatures, a nurturer through and through. A lover of music, she knew all of the songs, and could sing them without fail.

Smart, beautiful, and well-loved; we will struggle in her absence but strive to make her proud each passing moment.

“There is no velvet so soft as a mother’s lap, no rose as lovely as her smile, no path so flowery as that imprinted with her footsteps.”     By, Archibald Thompson

She was preceded in death by her father, Leo Gasparian; mother and step-father, Bill and Edna Bryant Williams; siblings: Mary Reisert, Suzie Gasparian, John Gasparian, and Larry Gasparian.

She is survived by her husband, Mitchell Crisp, Sr.; children: Mitchell Lynn Crisp, Jr. (Christy), Chrissy Easterly (Allen), and Sarah Crisp all of Cleveland; grandchildren: Cassondra Bowling, Chelsea Crisp, and Lily Shenal; great-grandchildren, Copelynd Bowling and Cambri Crisp; brothers: Mike Gasparian of Kingston, NY and Gary Gasparian of Cleveland; and several nieces, nephews and many special friends.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 10, 2021 at Cedar Springs Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Gary Higgins officiating.

The family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. Saturday at Fike-Randolph & Son Funeral Home.
