Evelyn Myrtle Dixon, 96, of Cleveland, passed away Sunday, November 17, 2019 at her home. She was of Baptist faith. She was born and raised in Cleveland and moved to Nashville where she owned and operated 2 cafeterias.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, John Spence and Virgil Dixon; parents, Mac and Hilma McSpadden; brothers, Luke and Buddy McSpadden; sister Louise Mitchell and daughter, Wanda Gerald.
Survivors include her daughter, Linda McIllwain and husband Tom of Nashville; four grandchildren, Ricky McIllwain, Tammy Butler and Darlene Armstrong, all of Nashville and Jim McIllwain of Sevierville; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 19, 2019 in Moore’s Chapel Cemetery with the Jerry Arms officiating.
