Evelyn Mae Carver Payne, 83, of Cleveland passed away Wednesday, February 5, 2020 following a lengthy illness.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Winston Payne; parents, Cletis and Lenora Gates; brothers, Bob and Vernon Gates and sisters, Barbara Guy and Sharon Howard.
She is survived by her four daughters, Kathy Barber, Debbie (Bennie) Albritton, Vicky (Bill) Carver and her special caretaker, Anita Carver; two granddaughters, Kelly Mitteis and Kaylene Brooks; three great-grandchildren, Sahara Mitteis, Brian Boggess and Ethan Brooks; nieces and nephews, Connie Guy, Melody Cooley, Lenora Conn, Terry Guy, Michael Gates and Ricky Gates.
The funeral will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday February 8, 2020 in the chapel of Fike-Randolph and Son Funeral Home with Pastors Ray Cheathem and Waymond Cooper officiating. Interment will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 9, 2020 in Hilcrest Memorial Gardens with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home prior to the service.
