Iva Mae Burris, 96, of Cleveland, passed away Wednesday, November 4, 2020 at a local health care facility. She was a retired seamstress from American Uniform. Iva loved working in the yard and sewing. She was active with her church and enjoyed singing until her health declined. Iva loved her husband (who passed on March 9, 2020) and her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” Burris; parents, Jessie and Febbie Kibble Swafford; sisters, Liddie Mae Swafford and Allie Marie Kimsey; brother-in-law, Lake Kimsey; and niece, Peggy June Kimsey.
Survivors include her loving niece, Mindy Caldwell; several cousins; and friends who were like sisters/children, Ann Lancaster, Charlene Penell, Nyla Wilson, Wanda Hall and Joey Martel James.
The funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 8, 2020 in the chapel of Fike-Randolph & Son Funeral Home with Lynn Epperson and Gary Epperson officiating and the Singing Echoes providing the music. The entombment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Her family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.
