Joyce W. Blackburn

Joyce W. Blackburn, 89, of Cleveland passed away Wednesday, November 4, 2020 at her home. She was a member of Westwood Baptist Church and a graduate of Bradley High School, class of 1949. Joyce was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Walter Blackburn; parents, Jacob L. and Pearl Marr Wilson; brothers, Billy Dean Wilson and Gursty Le “Buck” Wilson.

Survivors include her children, Ken Blackburn (Sherry), Becky Blackburn Griffin (Richard), Joe D. Blackburn (Jackie), and Alan Blackburn (Traci); grandchildren, Matthew Blackburn (Christen), Katy Blackburn Sargent (Stephen ), Stephanie Blackburn Hale (Mickey), Melissa J. Blackburn, Cody Griffin, Chelsie Miller (Eric), and Jake Blackburn (Skylar); 11 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews, Billy Wilson, Vickie Wilson, Bytha Wilson, Donna Wilson, Denise Wilson, and David Wilson.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Friday, November 6, 2020 at Westwood Baptist Church with Pastor Nolan Phillips officiating. Interment will follow in Hilcrest memorial Gardens with Matthew Blackburn, Cody Griffin, Eric Miller, Mickey Hale, Ben Achata, and Skylar Rogers serving as pallbearers.

Her family will receive friends from 9:00-10:00 a.m. Friday at the church prior to the service.

The family suggests that memorials may be made to the Choir at Westwood Baptist Church.
