Joyce Faye Vest

Joyce Faye Vest, 83, of Cleveland passed away Sunday, April 26, 2020. She was born January 1, 1937 to the late Kathleen Bohannon and Clyde Firdell. Joyce spent her life being kind to others and was an avid animal lover. She was aerobics instructor at Woman’s World and Fitness Factory for many years. Joyce taught at Broad Street Methodist Church for Mother’s Day Out and Sunday services for many years. She was a second mother to many children from Parker Avenue in the 1960’s and 1970’s; Mrs. Joyce and mamaw will be missed by many. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 50 years, Bill C. Vest, Jr. of Vest Grocery Store. She is survived by her children, Patty Wehunt, Debbie Smith, Steven Vest, and Billy Vest(Annette); grandchildren, Anthony Wehunt and fiancé, Jasmyne Green, Taylor Evans, Cameron Vest, Alex Vest, and Kyle Smith; several great grandchildren; brothers, Buddy Greene(June) and Bob Ward; and sister, Emily Ward Tyndall. A private graveside service will be held on Thursday, April 30, 2020 at Hilcrest Memorial Gardens with the Reverend Joe Brooks officiating.
