Kay "Guffey" Halliburton

Kay F. Quinn, Guffey, Halliburton, 87, of Cleveland, surrounded by her loving children, Kay escaped the bounds of this earth, May 8, 2023 to join many of her loved ones who have gone on before. Kay was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Katie Quinn, first husband, Cledis Guffey, infant daughter, Stephania Guffey. Second husband Henry Halliburton. Six brothers: Spence, Edward, Wayne, Austin, Billy, and Roy Quinn; and two sisters, Opal Waller and Cathy Kerr. One brother-in-law William Halliburton. She is survived by one son, Christopher Guffey, three daughters: Yolonda Renner, Glyndora (Steve) Condon, and Delphene (Glen) Rogers. Grandchildren: Peyton (Justin) Brewer, Jason Rogers, Joshua (Julie) Rogers, Thomas (Shawnel) Rogers, Tessi (Brett) McHone, Tavi (Ravitya) Pasumarthi, Dillon Guffey, Stephanah (Kenny) Redden, Katelynn (Ryan) Barkley. She also had numerous great-grandchildren. Also survived by one sister, Willie Ann (Steve) Szabo. Two much loved step-daughters: Charlotte Moore and Rebecca (Bill) Payne. Two brothers-in-law: Alan (Cyndi) Halliburton, Steve (Carol) Halliburton, and one sister-in-law, Frankie Howard. Kay loved people and had so many friends. Some of her interests were mathematics and crossword puzzles. Even in her 80s she could recite the multiplication tables through 12s, name the eight parts of speech, 5 oceans, and 7 continents. Kay and Cledis Guffey were building contractors from 1958-1973. She also worked as an office manager for Parks Belk and retired as office manager for Cleveland Plastics of Cleveland, Tennessee in 1983. Kay often spoke of how God had blessed her by giving her two loving husbands who were princes of men. She was married to Cledis Guffey for 48 years, who passed December 28, 2001 and to Henry Halliburton for 13 years who passed May 29, 2017, however she claimed her very first blessing was having Robert and Katie Quinn as her parents. She was a long-standing member of the East Side Church of Christ and was baptized into Christ at 13, but later attended the Union Grove Church of Christ with her daughter Yolonda, who was her caregiver for many years. All arrangements for visitation, memorial service, and interment are being handled by Fike Randolph & Son Funeral Home in Cleveland, TN, and are private including family and extended relatives only. Services will be May 17, 2023 with visitation being 12 noon to 2 PM. The memorial service will immediately follow and the interment is to be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be sent in memory of Kay to the Union Grove Church of Christ, 4889 Bates Pike, Cleveland, TN, 37311.
