Lake G. Belk, 80, of Cleveland, passed away Monday, October 5, 2020 at his home after a lengthy illness. He was a veteran of the United States Army. Lake loved watching the Atlanta Braves, Tennessee Vols and Walker Valley Mustangs.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 35 years, Eleanor who passed away on July 26, 1999. Lake was born on October 7, 1939 to the late Andrew and Lucy Everett Belk and was also preceded in death by his sisters, Norma Leamon and Pauline Williams.
Survivors include his two sons and daughters-in-law, Mark and Melinda Belk of Cleveland and Michael and Christel Belk of Decatur; his grandchildren who were the loves of his life, Dakota (Kristyana) Belk and Jessica Belk; nieces, Tara Henson and Beverly Bird, both of Cleveland, Lynne Elrod of Lebanon and Lora Johnson Taylor of Searcy, AR; nephew, Bruce Johnson of Lebanon; and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Franklin and Linda Lemons.
The funeral will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 8, 2020 in the chapel of Fike-Randolph & Son Funeral Home with the Reverend Ronnie Davis and Chaplain Ted Smith officiating. A graveside service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 9, 2020 at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
His family will receive friends from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home prior to the service.
