Mary Frances Johnson

Mrs. Frances Johnson, of Birchwood, Tennessee passed away early Tuesday, July 23, 2024, at her residence. She was eighty-eight.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, July 27, 2024, at New Liberty Baptist Church with Pastor Ken Herring officiating. Burial will follow in the McInturff Cemetery with Poole Funeral Home at Fike Chapel directing. Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm until 2:00 p.m. at the church on Saturday, July 27, 2024.

Mrs. Johnson was born January 24, 1936, in Hixson, Tennessee to the late Elbert Chester and Nora Blanche Cornelison Harvey. Mrs. Johnson worked as a Secretary for the Coca-Cola Company for 10 years and later worked as a Secretary for Dixie Yarn for 10 years. Frances was a member of the New Liberty Baptist Church for 65 years, and played the organ for 60 years, and served as Church Treasurer for 35 years.

In addition to her parents Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by five siblings.

Survivors include her husband of 67 years, Mr. Ronald S. Johnson; two daughters, Ann Levi (Danny), Stephanie Grubb (James); one son, Kent Johnson (Roxie); grandchildren, Greg Carroll, Lauren Lewis, Brooke Vazquez, Kayla Pharris, and Alexis Summer Johnson; great grandchildren, Jensen Lewis, Delaney Lewis, Elizabeth Lewis, Cora Pharris, and Amelia Vazquez; one brother, Edwin Harvey; several nieces and nephews.
