Mary Margaret Pierce, 78, went home to be with her Lord on December 31, 2021. She was born on June 16, 1943 in Madisonville, TN to Lillie Viola Green Williams and Ellia Martin Williams. Her family moved to the Black Fox Community when she was in the fourth grade. She became a resident of McDonald, TN on June 1, 1962 when she married her Love Bug, Patrick Pierce.
She had the kindest heart. She loved taking care of people and animals. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a member of McDonald United Methodist Church and loved singing in the choir. She worked at the McDonald Post Office for several years and enjoyed talking to her customers; especially the children that would come in to see her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Patrick L. Pierce; her brothers: Lester Williams, Ray Williams, Kenneth Williams, and infant brother, John Henry Williams.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughter, Sheila Kinder and her husband, Tony, of McDonald; her granddaughter, Laura Bible and husband, Matthew of Cleveland; and her three great-grandchildren, Winston Bible, Evan Bible, and Meredith Rose Bible, all of Cleveland; her sister, Retha Odom of Cleveland; and her brothers, Mack Williams and Earl Williams, both of Cleveland.
A private graveside service for her family will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at Lee Cemetery with her son-in-law, Reverend Tony Kinder conducting the service. Special music will be provided by Sherra Kinder. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.
To honor Margaret’s memory, her family requests that you pay an act of kindness forward to someone else.
The family wishes to thank Bradley Healthcare and Rehabilitation, Hospice of Chattanooga, and Fike-Randolph and Son Funeral Home for their care.
Fike-Randolph & Son Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
