Mittie Bonita Brackett James Mittie Bonita Brackett James, 87, of Cleveland, TN passed away, August 30, 2022 at Life Care of Cleveland. She was born in Cohutta, GA on January 6, 1935. She was of the Baptist faith and was a very devoted Pastor’s wife. Mrs. James was a very loving mother and grandmother. Bonita loved farming, cooking for her family, being a homemaker, and was a Sunday school teacher. She is preceded in death by her: Husband, Reverend Jack James, Parents: Thomas and Rachel Brackett, Sisters: Sivil James, and Wilma Thompson, Children: Patricia, (daughter) and Darrell Day, (Son in Law). Survivors include her Sister: Polly Ridley, (Chatsworth, GA), Brother: William and Becky Brackett, (sister in law), (Chatsworth, GA), Grandchildren: Brittany Day and Dustin Day, (Julie), Great Grand Children: Callie and Laura Day (all of Cleveland, TN), and many nieces and nephews as well. The family extends a special note of ‘Thanks’ to the staff at Life Care of Cleveland for her outstanding care. Services will be held on Saturday, 9/3/2022 at the Ball Play Baptist Church in Old Fort, TN. Visitation Hours will be from 2:30pm – 4:00pm with the funeral service immediately following at the Ball Play Baptist Church in Old Fort, TN. The officials presiding at the service will be: Reverend Matthew Harris, Reverend Ashley Parrot, and Reverend Charles Moore. Pall Bearers will include: Freddie Rush, Devin Fansler, Terry Webb, Danny Mason, Nathan Thompson and Eddie Whaley. A private graveside service will be held.
