Mona Belle Calfee

Mona B. Calfee, 78, of Cleveland, passed away on Saturday morning at 7am, 4/8/2023, at Legacy Village, surrounded by her family. 

She was born in McArthur, Ohio to Stace Finton & Florence Rosalie (Kuykendall) Molihan. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Stan Calfee, both parents, brothers Donald and Merlin “Buddy” Molihan, a sister, Carolyn Gross, nephew Ricky Musick, and niece, Susan Ross. 

Those left to cherish her memory include daughters Donna (Gary) Runyan, of Cleveland, Rhonda (Brett) Gravitt, of East Ridge, and Trina (Scott) Moyer, of Palm Bay, Florida, 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. She is remembered fondly by sisters Mary Lou Musick, of Columbus, Ohio, Martha Sue (Paul) Camp, of McArthur, Ohio, Barbara Tenschert, of Perrysville, Ohio, and Violeta (Marvin) Ross, of Jackson, Ohio. She also leaves several nieces and nephews. 

She was a member of Washington Avenue Baptist Church in Cleveland. She and Stan were long time members of the Tennessee Waterwell Association. They had owned and operated Stan Calfee Well Drilling. 

She enjoyed writing stories and words of encouragement for others, sending cards, letters, and prayer blankets. She enjoyed cooking and homemaking for her family, loved crafting and sold her work in several states at different events. She enjoyed playing games...was a tough Scrabble and Boggle opponent, played to win many other games like Rummy and Yahtzee. She was playful and was known for her funny sense of humor.  She was often an instigator of pranks, including water balloon fights. One most memorable thing was her exceedingly beautiful singing voice. She loved to sings hymns.
