Patsy Caroline Terrell Kyle, 82, a 65 year resident of Bradley County, passed away Saturday, March 6, 2021 at her home. She was born February 27, 1939 in Burlington, NC to the late Devoy W. and Pearl Phillips Terrell. Patsy worked over 30 years for Sanda Hosiery Mill and loved that job. After that plant closed she worked at Shering Plough. She loved to quilt, crochet and color. Patsy was an avid read.
She loved the Lord and put on Christ in Baptism in 1960 at East Side Church of Christ where she was a member for over 60 years. Patsy taught children’s Bible class with Betty Kyle for many years. She loved the Lord and was a great example of showing Christian love and easily forgave others when wronged, never holding a grudge. She believed the scriptures and the power of prayer and let us all know that especially by her example. Patsy’s family brought her the most joy of all and they felt her love without doubt. She loved to feed anyone that came to her house and no one ever went home hungry.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy W. Kyle; and two children, Roy Neil Kyle and Kathy Michelle Kyle.
Survivors include her one daughter and son-in-law, Karen (Alan) Hunsucker of Cleveland; granddaughter, Miranda (Brian) Flintoft of Jacksonville, FL; grandson, Max Trew of Cleveland; great granddaughter Lila Flintoft; brother, Don Terrell of Cleveland; sister, Hilda (David) Andrews of Morristown, TN; special cousin, but more like a sister, Betty (Franklin) Kyle of Cleveland; and many nieces and nephews who she loved like they were her own kids.
A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Minister Bill Maynard officiating. Her nephews, Tim Green, David Kyle, Doug McAlister and Danny McAlister, along with Carson Gorham and Ethan Lamberth will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be her nephews, Billy Kyle, Jay Kyle and Eric Beck. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.
A private family celebration of her life will be held at 2:00 on Tuesday at Fike-Randolph & Son Funeral Home with Minister Jeff Archey officiating. The service will be live-streamed on the Facebook page of the funeral home.
Her family requests that memorials be made to Hospice of Chattanooga (www.hospiceofchattanooga.org) or to the International Gospel Hour, PO Box 118, Fayetteville TN 37334.
