Roy E. Rymer, 93, of Cleveland, passed away Sunday, October 6, 2019 in a Chattanooga Care Center. He was an active member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, and also a snowbird of Naples, Florida where he was an active member of East Naples Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the United States Army and a 65 year member of the Cohutta Lodge #64 F&AM. Mr. Rymer was a faithful servant of Christ and the church, a devoted husband and father, and a hard worker who loved farming and operating his farm equipment. He was an avid golfer, enjoyed playing with his sons, and lived a full life. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Thelma Juanita Rymer, the mother of his five children; parents, M.C. Rymer and Mary Elizabeth Rymer; and nine brothers and sisters. Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Carol Rymer of Naples, FL; children: Tony Rymer and wife, Shirley of Leland, NC, Richard Rymer and wife Ellen, Robert Rymer and wife Navada all of Cleveland, Selma Rymer Wilson and husband Rodney of Murfreesboro, TN, and Tim Rymer of Leland, NC; grandchildren: Christy Rymer of Kernersville, NC, Mark Rymer (Neely) of Wilmington, NC, Nikki Rymer Shoemaker (David), Greg Rymer, Kenneth Rymer (Teresa) all of Cleveland, Jennifer McCaman (David), Natalie Bass (Jonathan), Nathan Rymer (Carlie), and Alex Rymer all of Murfreesboro, TN; great grandchildren: Marissa Rymer, Kamryn Rymer, Cole Shoemaker, Layne Shoemaker, Callie Shoemaker, Josiah McCaman, Abby McCaman, Emmy McCaman, Caleb Bass, and Judah Bass. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 10, 2019 at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church with Pastor Steve Huff officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Carmel Cemetery with military honors and Masonic Service. Grandsons, Mark Rymer, Greg Rymer, Kenneth Rymer, Nathan Rymer, Alex Rymer, and grand sons-in-law, David McCaman, Jonathan Bass, and David Shoemaker will serve as pallbearers. Granddaughters Christy Rymer, Nikki Shoemaker, Jennifer McCaman, and Natalie Bass will serve as honorary pallbearers. His family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 9, 2019 at Fike-Randolph & Son Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held in Naples, Florida at East Naples Baptist Church on December 11, 2019. The family requests that memorials may be made to Mt.
